December 2018

Good morning families,

I just wanted to reach out and thank each of you again for donating to our classroom. The children certainly enjoy the new books and flash cards from the The Copeland, Flowers, and Nelson families. They coincide with what we are working on in the classroom. We spend a lot of time talking about animals and animal sounds, parts of the body, and just working on building vocabulary in general. Even while playing with stacking cups and blocks we are teaching colors and prepositions, counting and working on fine motor skills.

I’ve never had a classroom composed of mostly toddlers before and I’m loving every second. We have had opportunities to work with play dough and finger paints. Oh and the things they say, just simply crack me up!

We are also grateful to the families that have donated wipes to our classroom! I promise they are going to good use. Thank you to Vaughn’s family, Sutton’s, and Katherine’s.

Natalie Thompson painted and donated a beautiful picture of an owl to our classroom. Wait until you see it; it’s wonderful. She is very talented!

Our local conmunity has had a tough few months this fall and is in greater need than ever. Please consider dropping a unwrapped gift in our Toys for Tots boxes in our foyer. This toy drive will only run until December 12th.
