Happy Mother’s Day

Happy Mother’s Day!

Thank all of you for coming our to our Salsa Night Fundraiser. Our class projects brought in $490.00, towards our outdoor environment!

This week the children have noticed our gardens taking off. Lula Grey and Talan sampled the first two strawberries. Watching them discover the strawberries on the plants is funny. The children get so excited and have a hard time understanding when the berries are ripe.

For Mother’s Day we have planted Mammoth Sunflower Seeds. Each child will be bringing home a plant for Mother’s day today. Some of the planters actually have two plants starting to grow. These sunflowers need to be planted in the sun, and 18” apart. The bloom will face the sunlight, and be 10- 12’ high.

I have done this project before in our classroom and the toddlers move up before they bloom. My children loved watering the plants and seeing how tall they really are when they bloom. I’m hoping teach of you get to have the same experience with your children.
