This week our language lessons continued with pet and farm animals and their sounds. Thank you to Liam’s family for our new Find the Puppy book. It is one of our favorites. Our family books are actually always the biggest hit. The children love to share them with us and their friends, and sometimes they like to sit alone with them. It is fun for us to see the spark in their eyes when they see that treasured book. Some of them have been repaired several times already.
Being inside is tough for the children. They often go to the door and ask us to go outside and play. To help alleviate their cabin fever we have turned on a couple of their favorite songs and let them show us their dance moves. It is so fun and so hard not to laugh. If your child has a favorite song, please share it with us. It’s going to be a cold couple months, and they love music.
This upcoming Monday is Martin Luther King Day. There is vacation care available for the children who have signed up already. Typically our classroom runs normally, we just need to know who will be here to maintain our 3:1 ratio. As your children move into Toddler I, look into the different options of academic and year round care. Perhaps one option will better accommodate your budget and schedule.
