This week I have observed countless developmental milestones. The younger infants are creeping, waving, and initiating social interactions with their peers. Jackson is responding to simple commands, kicking a ball, and practicing grace and courtesy lessons. Today I heard the word “please!”
Our language lessons currently include: stories, colors, animals, animal sounds, parts of the body, and labeling emotions.
Even though this sounds like a lot of work, these babies are enjoying their time with us. They are discovering new skills and concepts through uninterrupted play. Uninterrupted play also fosters concentration and independence.
