Due to the sunshine in Pennsylvania, Punxsutawney Phil, saw his shadow on February 2. According to “Groundhog’s Day legend, six more weeks of winter will befall the world. Everyone enjoyed the legend, history, and stories about this fun holiday!
We have begun our study of China by learning about the the land, history, traditions, celebrations, writing, people, food, and so much more. This interesting unit of study will climax with our annual Chinese New Year Parade on February 19th.
Some of our favorite new works this week are a tasting lesson, suds whipping, sewing with a hoop, matching native animals to
small continent maps, and forming the seven continents with clay.
