The rainy weather can curb our outdoor time at school, but the presence of a strong rain producing weather system and a hurricane, can provide for great learning opportunities and discussions! In addition to weather, we examined our planet’s closest neighbor, the Moon. Our Moon study and it’s phases perfectly coincided with the Super Moon Ellipse and the King Tide that we experienced this past week.It is so amazing that something so far away can control the tides on our planet.
Our “Bring your Parents to School Day” was a wonderful success. Our students were so proud to share their classroom and learning experiences.
