Primary 3 Update Dec. 16-20 2013
This past week, in Primary 3, we studied Christmas traditions and celebrations in Mexico, that included “Las Pasadas.” We prepared and sampled some traditional foods as well as singing some Christmas songs in Spanish. During our study of Christmas in the USA, we had our annual “Polar Express Day”. Everyone wore their pajamas to school, sipped hot cocoa, ate a tasty treat and settled back to listen to the wonderful book, “The Polar Express”, by Chris Van Allsburg. It was a magical day that was topped off by a visit from Santa himself!
On Friday we had our annual Holiday Program. We sang 3 holiday tunes, accompanied by guitar. Our soloist, a six year old Kindergartner sang “Silent Night”. It was a beautiful conclusion to the first part of our school year!
