Primary 3 Update Sept 2-5 2014
Our class has delved into the exploration of sea turtles. We have learned so much about these amazing reptiles that live in our planet earth’s oceans. Pawleys Island is the “birth home” and nesting ground to many loggerheads sea turtles. Everyone is very interested in finding out everything there is to know about the nests they that many of us have seen on the beach. A huge part of our discussions is about how everyone can help sea turtles by covering up the holes that they dig, picking up trash, chairs, toys, toys, tents and umbrellas before they leave the beach. ….and very importantly “lights out” on decks and porches if you are staying in a beach front home. Every one of our students said that they like to be part of protecting sea turtles!
