Primary

In our Primary classrooms each child moves at their own pace through carefully sequenced, hands-on Montessori materials in areas of mathematics, language development, practical life, art, reading, geography and nature developing skills in observation, questioning, and listening, social skills, physical coordination, as well as cognitive preparation and lengthening each child’s attention span.

Kindergarten completes the three-year cycle in our Primary program.

Because Montessori is a sequential program that moves from concrete to abstract and simple to complex, the third year (Kindergarten) in the classroom is when everything comes together in a cumulative finale to the natural learning cycle.  Kingdergarten students refine, practice, and master all they have discovered over the past two years.

In their Kindergarten year, students become critical thinkers and problem solvers.  They are role models in their community and are confident to take on tasks on their own.  They have become well-rounded learners ready to take on the most challenging of tasks.
