Hello Families,
Thank you for sharing your children with us each day. It’s been wonderful to be back in the classroom. Everyone is developing and hitting new milestones. Our class is exciting to watch grow. Beckett started crawling just today. Rick is walking around the classroom and refining his fine motor skills in preparation for Toddler 1, and Sylvia is a wonderful role model for the rest of our class.
I’ve enjoyed each day getting to know our new babies and reconnecting with the others children.
I have a project I’d like to do for our children, but I’ll need your help. I do this every year, and the babies love it. I simply need you to provide me with a picture of you and your spouse, any of their siblings, and any pets. The only requirement is that each picture only be of one person, or animal. Selfie’s are perfect! That’s exactly how your child sees you and your face. Please try to avoid pictures with sunglasses or hats. I will make each child a laminated family book. When your child translations to Toddler 1, I will give it to you. The books are typically so well loved they look a rough. They are wonderful for language lessons, easing separation anxiety, and give us an opportunity to connect with your children and reassure them you’ll return at the end of the day.
I want to thank each of you for labeling all of your child’s items. It is exceptionally hard to keep things straight when they aren’t labeled. Often two or more children are dropped off at the same time and it gets confusing. All bottles need to be prepared, labeled and dated.
Elizabeth Pitcher has agreed to be our room mom. So she’ll reach out to you from time to time in regards to school events. If you’d like to volunteer to help, I am happy to give you her contact information. Thank you Elizabeth!
I hope you enjoy these sweet pictures.
